The Tax Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre, in collaboration with the OECD and the Asian Development Bank, organised a four-day workshop on International Survey on Revenue Administration (ISORA) at the Mozart Hall of the President Hotel, Seoul, Korea, from 3 September to 6 September. The workshop was conducted in a hybrid format(online workshop via Zoom) and it was attended by the tax officials from the jurisdictions in the Asia-Pacific region, also the tax officials around the world through the online platform(Zoom).

The workshop focused on the International Survey on Revenue Administration (ISORA) database, including a comprehensive interpretation of the ISORA 2024 survey and how to utilise ISORA data.

OECD and ADB experts provided focused sessions to tax officials from Asia-Pacific jurisdictions on the functionality and operation of the RA-FIT data collection platform and access to ISORA data. In addition, presentations were given by the jurisdictions such as Greece (online presentation), Malaysia (on-site presentation), South Africa (online presentation), Taipei, China(on-site presentation), and the Netherlands (online presentation) on how to use ISORA data in their respective jurisdictions. Participants presented their ISORA use cases on the final day, bringing the four-day workshop to a successful conclusion through their active engagement.

Following the ISORA Workshop in 2023 which was also held at Seoul, this year’s workshop was organised in collaboration with the Korea Tax Centre, ADB, and the OECD. It was attended by tax officials from around the world (85 online participants and 36 offline participants). The OECD instructors were Oliver Petzold (Senior Advisor), the ADB instructors were Kozue Ichiyama (Public Management Specialist), Richard Highfield (Consultant), and Najam Javaid (Consultant).
