Korea Tax Centre(KTC) hosted the 2024 Knowledge Exchange Training Programme (KETP) for the Directorate General of Taxes of the Indonesia Ministry of Finance in Bali, Indonesia, 12-15 August 2024. The programme addressed the practical implementation of GloBE Rules, its recent issues and also examined the practical methods to implement the GloBE Rules for the Indonesian Tax Authority.
 

The four-day seminar constantly focused on the agenda of ‘The Implementation of GloBE Rules.’ Beginning with the GloBE Rules Overview and its recent developments, it proceeds to cover the area of GloBE Rules’ economic impact assessment and various ways to adopt the tax incentive. The experts addressed the basic concepts of the GloBE Rules and related accounting aspects in a detail. Finally, the technical aspects in implemting the GloBE Rules were also examined and actively discussed by the colleagues in the DGT.
 





The programme was attended by 35 tax officials the Directorate General of Taxes of the Indonesia Ministry of Finance. Five experts, Ms. Jessica de Vries (OECD), Mr. Massimo Bucci (Italy), Mr. Michael Hashemi (UK), Melinda Brown (OECD) and Soojin Lee(Korea) provided an in-depth and informative lectures on the GloBE Rules, and all the colleagues from the DGT enthusiastically asked questions to the speakers and actively engaged in the discussions throughout the programme.
