The Tax Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC) participated in the meeting of the OECD Advisory Group for Global Dialogue on Tax Matters, which took place on 22 May 2024 from 12h30 to 16h40 (CEST), in a virtual format.
The meeting provided an informal platform for officials from both developed and developing countries, international and regional organisations, and other stakeholders to exchange views and discuss progress, challenges and capacity-building needs in implementing tax standards, as well as priorities and evolving approaches for future work. The meeting became a platform for exchanging relevant perspectives in the work of the OECD’s Committee on Fiscal Affairs, including in its Inclusive Framework format, and contribute to shaping the development, delivery, and monitoring of OECD capacity development programmes.
The Tax Programme also shared the experience on capacity-building support on BEPS, the Two-Pillar Solution, and other areas as one of the 6 Multilateral Tax Centres around the world. This covered an update, partnerships, impact, and evolving needs and approaches for the capacity building for the Asia-Pacific countries. Taking this opportunity, the Tax Programme elaborated on the efforts and approaches to support country and expert for in-person events to enhance the efficiency of the capacity building programme.
