The Tax Programme at the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC), in collaboration with the OECD and the Malaysian Tax Authorities, organized an online international tax seminar via Zoom from June 7 (Tuesday) to 9 (Thursday), 2022. The seminar was held on the topic of effective utilization and risk management of the CbC process, which focuses on the exchange of country-by-country reports (income, profits, tax payments, and economic activities by affiliates) of multinational enterprises. The seminar focused on the use of country-by-country (CbC) data and risk assessment analysis methods for effective tax audit target identification and selection. The seminar explained how to identify transactions of MNEs that may violate BEPS and transfer pricing principles through the analysis of data contained in CbC reports, and shared examples of risk assessment in practice, including the analysis of CbC data using the Tax Risk Evaluation and Assessment Tool (TREAT) methodology. The online international tax seminar was attended by about 150 tax officials from more than 30 non-OECD countries. OECD lecturers including Ms. Debra Evans (OECD) and Ms. Melinda Brown (OECD) participated in the seminar. |
