Main Contents
This event will consider how countries can improve their understanding of the mines operating in their borders and how they can go about verifying the prices of mineral products sold in intermediate forms (such as concentrates), particularly where those products are sold to related parties. This practical workshop will examine several case studies on minerals developed by the OECD – gold, copper, iron ore, thermal coal and rough diamonds – and provide participants with a forum to consider how they might improve their own understanding of their mining sectors through a combination of better information and potential avenues to resolving information gaps. |
