The 115th OECD Tax Seminar: Comprehensive Tax Treaties

The Tax Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC) and OECD co-organized the 115th OECD Tax Seminar on June 17-21, 2019, at the Glad Hotel in Seoul, Korea.

The seminar focused on the OECD Model Tax Convention and discussed in depth the negotiation, interpretation, and application of tax treaties. In particular, the lecture included the Multilateral Instrument of the OECD/G20 BEPS project, which has become a major issue in the field recently. Lecturers from OECD and OECD member countries actively shared their experiences on tax treaties, as the tax authorities from the developing country are in the process of realizing the BEPS project implementation plan on track.

The seminar was led by experts Ms. Jessica Di Maria (OECD), Mr. Ben Middleton (Australia), and Mr. Eli Moore (Canada). It was attended by more than 30 participants from 15 countries in the Asia-Pacific area who participated in the seminar.
