The 118th OECD Tax Seminar: Exchange of Information as a Tool to Combat Offshore Tax Evasion

The Tax Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC) and OECD co-organized the 118th Tax Seminar on November 18-22, 2019, at the Garden Hotel in Seoul, Korea. 

The seminar covered tax information exchange and exchange systems that are being implemented worldwide to counter international tax avoidance by multinational enterprises. The seminar also discussed the automatic exchange of taxpayer financial information, which is the main focus of the OECD Global Forum, and tax information exchange based on tax treaties and multilateral information exchange agreements.

The seminar was led by Mr. Adrian Wardzynski (OECD), Mr. Bhaskar Eranki (OECD), Ms. Rochelle Cleary (Australia), and Ms. Christine Fox (ADB). It was also participated by more than 30 tax officials from 18 countries in Asia-Pacific area.
