The Tax Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC) hosted Knowledge Exchange Training Programme (KETP) for officials from the Tanzania Revenue Authority(TRA) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on May 6-8, 2019.
The program was organized in consultation with the Tanzania Revenue Authority and the Taxation Division, and experts from the government and private sector with extensive experience in advising governments on tax policy and administration participated in the seminar as expert lecturers. It was to discuss the recent issues on the international taxation and administration. The lecture covered the basic theory of tax treaties such as double taxation agreements, issues related to permanent establishments and the transfer pricing tax system, and the overview and practice of Korea’s electronic tax system.
The seminar was attended by 42 officials from the Tanzania Revenue Authority including Mr. Alfred Mregi, Mr. Michael O. John, and Mr. Herbert Kabyemela, and various experts from Korea including Mr. Kyungkeun Lee, Mr. Sewha Lee, and Mr. Kiup Lee participated in the seminar.
