On July 2-4, 2019, the Tax Programme of the OECD Korea Policy Centre (KPC) participated in the Conference “Tax and Development” by Addis Tax Initiative(ATI)/International Tax Compact(ITC) held in Berlin, Germany. Along with the Tax Programme, the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Tax Service participated in the conference to discuss ways to improve tax systems and fiscal consolidation in developing countries around the world.

During the conference, the following issues were covered ;

-A review of the implementation of ATI’s three major commitments and presentation on the results (major issues such as ways to expand DRM technical support, promotion of DRM in donor countries, and policy consistency)

-Presentation on mid-term evaluation results of implementation tasks and new initiatives

-Exchange of opinions on sustainable development for post-2020.

Tax Programme participated in the ATI Market Place(Platform for public relations for participating institutions) and advocated its accomplishments and progress for a bilateral training program with Asia-Pacific countries.
