The 81th OECD Tax Seminar on
“Advanced Auditing Small and Medium Enterprises”
4-9 November, 2013, Seoul, Korea
□ The Tax Programme, OECD Korea Policy Centre (Director General: CHO, Kyu Bum) hosted the 81th Tax Seminar on Advanced Auditing Small and Medium Enterprises on 4-9, November, 2013 at CenterMark Hotel in Seoul, Korea.
□ Tax officials from 14 non-OECD economies including Federation of Russia, India, Philippines, and Vietnam gathered to gain a sound understanding of tax audits at an advanced level and garner a comprehensive toolkit for managing and auditing small and medium enterprises.
Main Issues of the Seminar
□ Participants were able to not only strengthen their practical capabilities but also gain much interest toward auditing small and medium enterprises. They also showed sincere appreciation to the KTC and its members for hosting and managing the event.

□ Three experts, Ubaldo Gonzales (OECD), Lester Carney (United Kingdom) and Ash Khera (Australia) shared practical experiences and know-hows to strengthen the working capabilities of the seminar’s participants.
Closing Ceremony & Experiencing the Korean History and Culture
□ Participants were able to not only strengthen their practical capabilities but also gain much interest toward auditing small and medium enterprises. They also showed sincere appreciation to the KTC and its members for hosting and managing the event.
ㅇ On Saturday, participants went on a study tour to visit places such as Changdeok Palace, N-Tower, and Namdaemoon Market which helped the participants further learn and deepen their understanding about the Korean culture and history.
