The Tax Programme, OECD Korea Policy Centre has hosted the bilateral programme with the Internal Revenue Department of Myanmar to disseminate latest information on international taxation and share Korea’s experiences with tax officials of the Internal Revenue Department of Myanmar while enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries.

– Myanmar is one of the developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region which has a vast territory, 3.5 times bigger than the Korean peninsula with natural resources. Since the political reform in 2011, fast transition to an open market economy of the country has led to more foreign investment including Korea.
